norgeborg: My personal opinion that it is possible for some time, but if people don't start to live in the same city, it will collapse. And if we include cheating during that period, how long is it possible to be dedicated?
it is possible, just takes two very strong people, and a lot if commitment and understanding

is it possible for a short distance relationship to succeed, if you include cheating when you are a cheater?
I don't think it makes any difference, if you are living "next door" or far away
Antoniacv: Lots of patience, hardwork, lots of love involved, documents , money , more more patience , faithfulness, trust , more love , more patience... but hell yeah...
It happened to us. And soon to be hubby and wife.
So happy to hear this good news. This makes two of us.
I met my fiancee on this site and we also are getting married in March. She is from another country and it has been a patient process.
I believe that LDRs, in fact any relationship, is more attitudinal than anything else. Money, sometimes, not all the time in an LDR.
It is all the other things that make or break it. But then some are so obsessed with their money and their possessions and the fear of using their resources to find a loving relationship, that I feel they are more in love with money and possessions than with any other person.
Some are also more in love with themselves than any other person. And this always makes it difficult for them to find a loving and fulfilling relationship.
Don't get caught in the slanging match by people who are jealous, bitter, twisted, and who are afraid to truely look into the mirror of their own soul. If they did, it would scare the pants off of them by the truely ugly reflection that they would see.
Hold on to your love that you have. I am so very happy for you.
