There's quite a story behind this piece as far as I'm concerned. By pure luck I managed to grab this off the radio when I was looking for something to record to use up a cassette tape. I had no idea who or what it was so I loaned the tape to a friend who worked at a school to play it for the music teacher. Well the jerk lost it. It took me about 7 years to find out the name of the piece. How I found it again is even more interesting than how I found & lost it the first time. This is only the first part, the second part is completely different.
I want this played at my funeral. I only wish I could be there there to hear it. crying

I listen to classical music all the time on the radio station.

I unfortunately cannot handle some female voices, that squeaks.

My favorite changes fast depending on the radio station's preferences.

The overture, the cannons being fired and the church's bells at unison, they are just magnificent!
(live)
Although some temporary deafness is expected but worth it.

Lilith10: ....Life

True

I have enjoyed it live only a couple of times and the second time I was right by the cannons (not idea which calibre they were) quite powerful they were eventhough they were little. I might record it next year at the festival that it is presented.

An old lady died in her bathtub.

She died from a terrible fit.

In order to fulfill her wishes, she was buried in 6 feet of Shaving Cream, be nice and clean.

Shave every day and you'll always look keen.
