fifitheminx: yes... i kill spiders.. knowingly.. i kill.

You know, I have always been phobic of them, even when little, and I'd scream 'SPIDER' in dear fear for my mum, next scream though was always 'BUT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO KILL IT'. I felt bad another creature should have to suffer just because I was scared of it, so my mum always had to catch them and carry them out. I still do not kill them, I try cope taking them out, which is real tough for me, but hard luck, their life deserves respect in my view, over my fears, as they don't wish to harm me, they just live same as I do blues

SinkingSwimmer: Interesting and worthwhile post. Haven't got an answer at the moment.

I will point out that the law is the second enemy in a self defense situation. You cant really justify a preemptive strike, unless you think your life is in danger & you had no choice.

there are loads of legal implications, its very involved, especially over here in the UK.

Yes, the law has to be tough or else people could easily claim it in all sorts of situation, and I mean.. I just need to look at some escalating neighbour wars.. people will try do horrible things to each other, and cruelty is not far removed from killing, in my view at least.
