nokundi: there is some truth in it,on the outside islan is growing, but in the families there is a change. Women want more rights, like driving a car.
Why driving a car should be a right?
Only it's a right when someone hasn't it.
Traditionally women had a secondary position in the christian countries, and there were more driver men than women. But nobody forbidden them to drive.
SoonerGal: Here's what I think and I know it don't matter to whomever reads it....there is ALWAYS extremist in every realm of religion, be it Christianity or Islam...what sets the two apart is Islam is a man, Muslim ruling religion and if anyone disagrees with them especially their own women, it's death or torture....I read in the paper here where a Muslim woman was going to marry outside the Muslim faith and her OWN father had her put to death...really????? and this is a loving religion????? for the majority nokundi Christianity isn't like that at all, there were extremist back in the day, but it wasn't the majority....and yes property here in the states is getting bought up by Muslims....

I agree, but now the extremists in the islam are not the majority either.
The differance between women and men drivers are that women drive within there limitations, and men drive beyong them. Of course that cannot be said of all,but having been involved dealing with thousands of incidents,i have have no hesitation in saying it is not far off.
Wow it's like two total worlds Saudi Arabia versus the western man hating matriarchal society, the best bet would be to get a little island in the mediteranian and build a big wall around it.
