henonpause: I have a dilemma. I absolutely HATE those big, juicy, bluebottle flies. And my neighbour has a horse. So there are a lot of them. I am exhausted from swatting.

I heard this works
put some water in a clear plastic sandwich bag and a couple of 5 or 2 cent pieces in, and hang them up at the windows you keep open (that the flies come in)

Green_Sleeves: Old wives tale!Hang a few auld knickers in the window you keep open, this keeps the flies away but may attract men! So, decide which is worse!
Lol, may try that one for the men part - the red light outside my door hasn't drawn much interest ;-)
