There is no solution. The war on drugs is a losing battle and it will never end.
New drugs are created annually and they are becoming harder to preempt due to them having legal ingredients.
Making them legal would only increase the problem as more people become users. It's hard to deal with the current number of addicts.
It's an addiction, the same as to caffeine, alcohol and nicotine.
Jailing those in possession is not helping currently. Jail those arrested with a certain weight and above, but why waste time and resources dealing with someone who has a bit of weed for weekend recreational use?

I think that war is rising levels. Once there were powerful organisations which controlled cocaine and heroine.

Now it's not only them. Chemical labs developes new drugs day after day, and even there are wars in latin america trying to control the marijuana market.

A lot of dead every day, and governments surrended. Why not? don't makes sense to fight against the increase of drug consumers when no one expects to win that war.

Well as far as I know drugs have always been in use but since the sixties it sky rocketed , entire wars are being funded by drugs or in other words they couldent continue the war without the profits from drugs and I am not talking about a drug war I am refering to political or religon wars, I wonder do people take drugs as an act of rebelion as wel as an a escape from reality.

As transport become easily available, it became easier to transport the drugs en mass worldwide. No longer did it reply on small packages all the time. It became easier to get hold of a boat or plane and ship them by the ton.
The profits in the drug trade are enormous. In Belize, they are fighting a losing battle as farmers are paid to grow it. They then have schools and other essential building built by the cartels, which the government is neglecting to do.
So, who would you work for? The cartels or have a legitimate trade which may pay enough to feed the cat and nobody else.

Everyone has different reasons for drug use. You'd have to ask 100 addicts to get a vague ratio of answers at the minimum.

Well in Holand where drug use was legal though I am not sure all of the drugs but in relation to that there was less drug use there by the Dutch than the surounding countries, maybe people or some people like doing things which are illegal. It was recentlty stated that in Mexico that there was more money being made out of drugs than they were spending on their police force combating the cartels, personaly I think governments are going to have to face up to the reality of it.

The pharma industrie, scientists are able to develope drugs which do not harm the body. They could develope good drugs and add it to the drinking water, lol.
So it could be a way for a better world, and the criminals had no chance selling their bad drugs.
They could develope drugs which increase the conciousness and the love of ppl.
But happy , lovely and satisfied ppl. are probably not wanted in this world.Coz of beeing greedy for money they only develope drugs which make you only "half healthy", so that you aleays be a paying customer for the pharma gang.sigh

As long governments gets involved and the rich one with the power to keep drugs flowing like a river this problem has no solution. Did you know that the under-ground economy is stronger than the legal economy? Have you seen teens buying expensive sporty sneakers and paying cash? That's the drug-money. Governments do not want to fix this because also is keeping our institutions running.

This is the power of illegal drugs.

Posession of drugs is only the result of the failure of prohibition on drugs.

It's not an offence against the people, in my view. In my country means only a fine, not to go to jail.

Its better to legalize all , this will take the profit away from the dealers and use the money the goverment spends to educate ppl about them.
