Q - Could anyone have written a script like this?
A - I can think of two - Jeremy Lloyd & David Croft
(Allo Allo)

Q - Is it grabbing people's interest in the UK?
A - The newspapers and media think so as its being rammed down the peasants throats every hour on News programmes very mad

Trying to keep up with it down here ....
Best of luck

It is quite interesting as it's showing the level that they will stoop to, just to get a story and the lengths they are going to to cover it up.
Sad that it caused the death of a newspaper, but it really didn't stand a chance once this can of worms had been opened.
The running joke at the time was, if you thought you had voicemails, just read the tabloids.

I could be wrong but it seems some of News Corp execs seemed to think that the law didn't apply to them?

Or did they think that just because they knew the right people they could get away with things?

You're not wrong. They did think they were above the law. As a nation institution, they assumed they were untouchable and the nation would support them.

If you use Twitter, this guy may be worth following as he's tweeting the whole case.

This whole saga is just the tip of the iceberg, I think everyone knows the lengths a newspaper will go to get a story, I'm more concerned about the Edward Snowden revelations and looking forward to the top brass from the three UK intelligence agency's MI6, MI5, GCHQ, being grilled by MP.s at Westminster today.

A good opportunity for the FBA (Free Britain Alliance) to get some active service in with H&K MP5's on them and cheaper than keeping the court case going at tax payers expense.

Twitter is real time updates. You'd most likely be snoozing as he's writing laugh
He does post daily in his blog, which I meant to add to my last post, but I forgot. Please forgive me. His blog is

Jail time? No, I doubt it. What'll happen is the trial will ensure regulations are made to ensure this never happens again. There may be forces contributions to several charities, but I doubt anyone will go to prison for it.

The Wikileaks saga started it all. We all know how badly the Americans are pursuing him over that. Snowdon doesn't stand a chance as they will throw all their might against him.

Is that a Broadstairs 'thing'? laugh laugh .

Doubtless Cameron and Co will keep her out of jail. OAPs that refuse to pay hyper-inflationary Council Tax are 'fair game', but Ms Brooks is one of their own, so will probably get a slapped wrist as she was suffering from stress at the time - or similar.
