To draw that conclusion from one experience is a bit generalizing in my view?
Can't speak for others, but if I feel safe enough and like someone enough, I have no objections to meeting them. Is all friendship based for me though (despite my female site having hick-ups at times with one particular individual *glares at female side*).
Friendship though is something I feel has to come first anyway, getting to know someone via mail exchanges and so forth, and even meetings as friends.
How fast into having had contact with that female did you suggest to meet up?

Well, it says you are after intimate encounters? Maybe they first thought they were after that too, but then when it got to it they got cold feet or changed their minds on what they really wanted?
Dunno, but a 'good man' is something depending on personal judgement, and I for example know heaps of good men by my personal judgement, but that doesn't mean I am interested in taking it past a friendship with them. Matters can be complicated, and without knowing what the thoughts of those females were, I doubt anyone here could say for certain what happened.

Your post isn't a generalisation? of course it is. I'm very sure you haven't talked to all the women on this site.
met some lovely women on here of all ages both mailing and in person have to say from my personal point its not a bad place at all to chat to and meet women ,you get the odd crackpot alright but sure thats life ,wouldnt worry about getting blocked a woman is entitled to change her mind at any point

And before I end misunderstood - not saying there is anything wrong with someone seeking intimate encounters, just that the term 'good man' comes down to personal judgement, and as I have never been into intimate encounters, a male who had that at his aim would definitely be a 'good man' for me.

It could be because the woman didn't know how to tell him she wasn't interested. It wouldn't be a problem for me but I do have a friend who is too nice for her own good and panics when she has to reject someone who doesn't interest her, especially if he is very insistent and won't take a simple "no thanks" for an answer, which has happened more than once with her. She then blocks them as she doesn't want the confrontation even through email or text. It's probably a sign of weakness but there are some people who it's almost dangerous to be nice to - give them an inch and they'll take a mile and if you're not strong minded enough, you get sucked into their stuff.
