I make a fire in my little woodstove everyday now. It really helps to make the place warm without having the heat come on so often. Saves some money too. Splitting firewood is good exersize as well. Some other pluses is I consume junk mail starting fires not to mention cardboard, leaves and twigs (as kindling). Not long ago I had some important paperwork I wanted shredded because it had a lot of personal financial info on it but didn't know anybody with a paper shredder so it went into the stove, I used it to heat my house lol.
I've been a wood burner for 40 years.

No cold winters for me thanks talk to hand

Around these parts it rarely gets below 12ºC during the day in winter, down to around 5 at night.

We are approaching summer now and today is blissful, around 27 with a lovely breeze happy place

did you ever get someone to help you with your firewood Obbs , you will just have to get a bigger fire that can take tires . Tried it with a couple of quad bike ones , burns vera vera well . (not recommended in town though )No splitting ,just a squeeze .

I’m sure not many people would think I’m living in ”Paradise”?laugh

25 cm of snow or little less than a foot, cold and DARK. It’s dark before 8am and after 3,30pm and it’s getting darker and darker. The spring arrives in early May. That's my life (and paradise?)!thumbs up

WE don't get too much snow or hardly any at all. It's been in the upper 50's so far and have only had to have our space heaters on.

When we want to see snow during the winter months we just head down to the Smoky Mountains National Park of Tennessee and leave it all behind.laugh
