Does it get more difficult to find the right partner as you get older?....and by old, I mean in years not mentally.

By the time you are, say, 60 or so, you have been there, done it, got the T shirt and maybe got so fed up of it that you wonder what it's all about! BUT.......as a man, I still have a heartbeat, and I still get warm in the spring!

However, meeting someone of a similar age can be a difficult experience...as they have been there etc etc etc. Each has developed their own idiosyncrasies, and likes/dislikes that evolved with younger partners, and there is so little time to integrate these into this (potential) new life/relationship

What do you think?

Perspective of a 33 year old. Not quite as old as you'd like, but it's a start, right?

It does get harder. People have baggage, family or are wanting something so specific, that they just won't find what they're looking for. Added to that, the fact that people get more jaded being single, that they'd prefer to be single.

There's plenty of time to take up new interests and maybe find someone who likes them as you're learning. Most people love to take the new pupil under their wing, so you could find a potential partner while learning something new.

Well I am a member of a walking group and had my eyes opened to the amount of older men and women who now talk about their partner. They do not live together well most of them--but have a life togetherdunno I met one lady who said her (partner live 50miles away) and the are planning a Winter holiday away in warmer climate.
So you see you could end up being lucky if you are more relaxed about living arrangements as I see it anywaypeace
Wishing you luck.

Advantages of being in a 'mature relationship' :-

* don't have the hassles of raising a family
* don't have the headache of a mortgage over your head
* have a more relaxed attitude to life
* if retired, time to do stuff you didn't have time for while working?

Ideally I would like to meet someone that has some of the same interests but has his own 'thing' to do, has his own place, I have mine and we meet in the middle when the need arises?? heart wings

When one is young at heart and young mentally.
The body is like a machine none last forever.
They break down and they are so complicated at
times cannot mend.
60 is not an age thing surely gosh in that case
I better go into a corner and put a coat over my
head and wait for death.
I only have less than 3yrs to go.
I would hope we have lots more living to do and for
you and relationships you must find and work at it.
Life is for living and enjoying.
There is a time to live and a time to die.
Make the best of the time to live.
Good luck.wave cheers
