once again law enforcement has shown the dark side of itself. i am referring to the cops in new mexico terrorized a mother and her children when they savagely attack her van after they stopped her for a traffice speeding and she was too terrorized to comply. they bashed her windows in and after she left the scene they fired on her. also the new mexico DA refused to press charges against the stormtroopers and charged the woman with endangerment. this goes to show that give a guy a gun and a badge and they think they are gods. the cops should be taken out and flogged and indicted for excessive force and put to jail. another instance is when a guy was stripped search by the cops and had his butt serched eight times. my question is what the heck the cops are thinking. they are plumb loco.

This is the video, yes?

She drove off after being stopped. They chased her and stopped her again. She is hardly being compliant, and is refusing to cooperate. When they tell her to face the vehicle, she walks back to attempt to get into the car.
He son then assaults the officer, and they both then get into the vehicle and attempt to drive off again.
The police have no idea what's in the vehicle, and after such suspicious actions by the driver, they react with force.

If she had complied with a standard traffic stop, none of it would have happened.

Watch the video. You will see her actions and those of her son. If you haven't seen the video, how on earth can you have an opinion? Are you being fed what is on the news and taking it at face value?

The fact she's black has nothing to do with it. The only racial thing in this thread so far is the fact YOU brought race into it. roll eyes

Maybe we aren't seeing the whole story, duh. I was on the cops side in this confrontation until one patrolman pulled a gun and fired into the vehicle endangering the children occupants. That action was completely uncalled for and none of the police people were in danger for their lives. The DA should start actions against the patrol person who fired his service pistol if nothing else. There, thems my two gallons.

Oh, so you saw a nicely edited version that made her out to be a kindergarten teacher taking orphans to the zoo for a treat?

Watch this, and then say she's not resisting. Until then, you're just speaking garbage.

As you will notice when the windows are smashed, it has tinted rear glass, and knowing how gun happy people are in America, and the behaviour of both the mother and son there could have been firearms aimed at the officers.

The people need protecting from their own stupidity. Luckily, we have Darwin Awards for them.

we are starting to see a trend where the cops can terrorize anyone. i respect law enforcement but this is nuts when they pull these things on people. they should get anger management help. look at the cops in new york a few years back when they killed a man when they shot him full of holes and he was getting his wallet to show his id. they got no time at all. the cops are trigger happy like shoot first and ask questions later

No, we're starting to see a trend where the police are having to deal with idiots who don't respect the laws that the police are trying to enforce.
If people were to do as asked, then there wouldn't be the need for such shows of force.

Going to have to provide links for the New York incident, please. But, it's highly unlikely it happened as you claim. More like he reached for it without telling the police what his intentions were, and they made the assumption he was reaching for a weapon. Fair enough. Especially when there are idiots willing to blow themselves up.

II watched some of the video and saw where of her children got out of the van and the mother pulled the child back to van then her son got out of the front passenger side door and began walking around towards the back of the van.

I saw the story on Yahoo News the other day but didn't actually read the whole story.

Unfortunately people to carry weapons and the son could've grabbed it and shot the cop.

thank god the police in my town and state are great and they are doing a wonderful job. for example they busted 2 white supremists when they walked down a street with firearms in a small down here in my state. i have more respect for our law enforcement than any other ones in the country.

She most certainly did resist arrest, so much so that more then one cop has to restrain her.

that is a lie but if they did it they did it with malice. why dont u admit they used excessive force or do u approve of police brutality?
