was confused at first, expanses: in comparison; men have the wider shoulders; women the wider hips.
oops, you mean expenses? Not sure if I can answer that question. I have always been a frugal person. Not stingy mind you, but I spend my money practically, and seldom seldom indulge in un-needed fanciful things.
My one exception is flowers! I usually buy a bouquet at least once a month, and some stems in a vase can brighten up any room!

This reminds me of of a quote from one of my favorite authors.
"He had come after long experience to realize that he could always count on living within his means, all he had to do was to scale down his needs to his income."
The reasonable thing is that your expenses are dependant on your earnings and that has not necessarily to do with gender.[/quote
Not really sure I'd agree with that one. Work expenses are costs inured in the pursuant of one's duties. It is not necessarily dependent on your earnings.
I think the OP's question refers to life expenses in general, which of course is a question that can't be answered in the terms provided. Michelle Obama might have more expenses than Frank Roche (man who works in my local bar), does that mean women need more money then men?
