Hi Newlife, think a lot of peeps had a quiet one this year. Had more to do with the economy than being old and sensible.sigh

If you saw the shops here on Boxing Day you would ask "Recession? GFC? what recession?" It was mayhem! wow

They have had a bonanza year where I live. It is flooded with tourists at this time of year but holey moley.

I didn't go near them - would be like hell in the shops.

I feel sorry to the retail assistants that have to front up after Xmas Day to face the bargain hunting hordes. help

mickeyscouse: For the folks who want to get away from the modern day farce that is Christmas

It's beyond a joke, my local Tescos slipped in an isle of Christmas crap the day after Halloween, now they have tinsel hanging from the ceiling and a tree

The Christmas lights were switched on in Oxford Street on November 12th
I remember up until a few years ago that they were never switched on until 1st December, last January I sent a complaint to Westminster City Council asking why the lights were still up on January 27th & could they be taken down as they were causing me alarm, distress and making me feel depressed

I could go on, why is Christmas now a 3 month event? When I was a kid I don't remember it being dragged out like this, it went on for a couple of weeks.

Merry Christmas folks

Haha some things NEVER change. So tell me, who pissed in your cornflakes this time, Grinch. And to think, you still new years eve fireworks to look forward too. Love yoooou haha xxxx

I think I killed Christmas forever. A fat man dressed in red came out the chimney, so I battered him with a frying pan.

He's not moved in 4 days and is starting to smell a bit.

Send help with shovels, duck tape and a few bin liners.
