So guys and gals, what's your favourite meal/dish? One of mine is BBQ crayfish tails on top of a nice medium/well done rump steak with a nice garden salad and a balsamic dressing!
One would have to be fettachini cabonara with bacon, little onion & white thick cream sauce with prawns. A neighbor owns a pizza shop up the road and his son makes the best mmm mmm mmm

Mine will always be an egg & bacon pie, just like my mum used to make. Although I do have to ask for the "Egg & Bacon Quiche" at my local these days - found one that does make it soooo gooood.

Although I must admit that whenever I was at my Nan's, it was Condensed Milk on Bread. And the Bread Custard she made. And mum could make it as good.

That's the way, doesn't have to be fancy, just food that rows your boat!

I have too many favourites, couldn't possibly list them all but at the moment at this time of year it is salad with whatever I fancy with it, could be tuna, steak, smoked salmon.
I vary it by having as well as the 'fresh' salad stuff I will add olives, or marinated mediterranean vegies like capsicum, avocado or asparagus in season, marinated artichokes. Hmmmm hmmm
I do love my food I think it comes from living in the Med from a few years, food is a big part of their life, it brings family and friends together and they enjoy food from growing it, to preparing/cooking it to presenting it on the table.
Even if it is a simple home made dip like taramasalata or tzatziki, it is the love they have put into preparing it that makes the difference. Yummo

made a couple of cakes too...
now my kitchen is in shock..
No good me making cakes as I don't eat them, or just a bit unless I am doing a morning tea for work (out of that now). Same as the kangaroo sausage rolls which I used to make. They were very popular and I had to make about 1kg (that was the amount of kangaroo & sausage mince I would use) to feed about 20 people, plus all the other stuff I would do. And never a sausage roll leftover for my lunch.
Yesterday turned out to be my big cooking day. Did a stew in the crock pot. Trouble is that it does about 6 meals so half in the fridge and half in the freezer. Cook different vegies and use different sauces for variety each night I use it, sometimes use it as a topping on noodles.
Currently 35 and tonight looks like being something a bit on the salady side. Maybe just olives, fetta cheese and spring onions. If I had looked at the weather earlier, I might have bought some of that Italian bread and balsamic vinegar to go with it.
