Think about it, people say 'everything happens for a reason' as if life is somehow a pre-determined path, as if we're mindless, incapable of making our own choices, that someone else has done so for us. How can they say that?!! They will NEVER know how their life would have turned out if they had made other decisions, why? Because they will never experience the consequences of those decisions, all they have is what life has presented them.
But, everything happens for a reason, does it? What reason is that? For the good, or the bad? Well, its usually never the bad, no one says 'johnny was tragically killed, but, everything happens for a reason, way hey!', or, 'I'm terminally ill, but hey, everything happens for a reason ', no, they say 'I met Mary, she's the best thing that ever happened to me, everything happens for a reason!! ', no, you happened to meet Mary, you could equally have met many hundreds, thousands, even millions of women, it just so happened you met Mary!
NOTHING happens for a reason, the only thing we have are our own decisions and the consequences of such.
