Dunno what it was like in the past, but I must say I have come across some really nice appearing individuals, but obviously we choose who we want to deepen contacts with according to personal criterias. I am certain it can take a while and maybe heaps of failed contacts, before we meet someone we feel we share something with that's worth exploring. The others we end either ignoring their mails or trying to politely decline further contact with (like the one who sent me a marriage proposal this morning ).

Sure it can be frustrating and even discouraging to meet rejection, but I definitely prefer a clear rejection over guessing and wasting time. Had that just recently, and am still sort of struggling with that darn situation where I never received a clear rejection, despite even having begged for it That's far worse than to just be sent on one's way, in my view

It isn't nice as it leaves one wondering while having to tear away, and it can end affecting future interactions with others if a part of the self remains attached emotionally to such a situation. That can even drag on for years if not a lifetime.

Wonder if those who refuse to reject in clear ways take that into consideration
