Some of us here play instruments, and I thought to make a thread for that. I had two beautiful accustic guitar tracks sent a few days ago by a musician (can't post his up, real shame as they truly are amazing), but maybe some others here who make music are willing to share, which would be great, I really enjoy listening to what others get up to in regards to music gift

My start is a really bad recording and apologies for it, but can't retry over and over as my voice will give and already was giving while I recorded that. My guitar playing leaves a plenty to be desired as well, but it isn't about how good we are, but about bringing a tradition to this site, as people in the past made music, no big recording studios, just simply for the joy of music.

This song is my favourite song in the world. I learned it when I was only a wee teen, and the original is by a great singer and songwriter, but I always felt it isn't a song to be sung by a male. It is in German and I have tried translate it as good as I could, and maybe just read the lyrics and save the torture of the rcording, eeps roll eyes but those lyrics to me speak of the outmost contentment one can feel when one loves, and sometimes I think they alone are the reason why I still believe trying to find love is worth it...

Sommermorgen (Summermornings)- by Reinhard Mey

Durchs offne Fenster dringt der Tag ins Zimmer
(The morning is flowing through the open window)
Und Morgenlicht durchflutet schon den Raum.
(and the morning light is beginning to flood the room)
(I feel you next to me, you are still asleep)
Und suchst ihn festzuhalten, deinen Traum.
(and are trying to hold on to your dream)
(I like it so much, while safe next beside you)
Noch nachzudenken ber dich und mich,
(to think about you and me)
Wie gerne mag ich die hellen Sommermorgen,
(So much do I like these light summer mornings)
Wie lieb' ich dich.
(so much do I love you)

(Clearer and clearer am I beginning to hear mow outside)
Stimmen, Straengerusche, Autotr'n.
(voices, street noises and car doors)
Verstrichen ist die stille Atempause,
(gone are the moments to draw the silent breath)
(You are stirring next to me as if you feel it too)
(and you gaze at me with a sleepy smile)
Ich warte auf den Blick allmorgendlich.
(Every morning I wait for that smile from you)
(So much do I emjoy feeling you waking next to me)
Wie lieb ich Dich.
(so much do I love you)

(How hasty does the time pass later in the day)

Komm' einen Augenblick noch nah zu mir.
(Come close to me still for a moment)
(When else to tell you if I don't tell you now)
Dass ich glcklich bin mit dir.
(That I am happy being with you)
Von deiner Waerme, deinem Rat umgeben,
(Surrounded by your warmth and your advice)
Von deiner Zrtlichkeit; wann sage ich,
(your tenderness; what better time to tell you)
(how wonderful it is to live by your side)
Wie lieb' ich dich.
(So much do I love you)
