stanley8m: It goes back to the old adage of men being physically stronger and brought up to protect and look after women. Little boys are told to look out for their sisters and female friends, and never to hit girls and that is all well and good with the majority of females.

However, when the female abuses her sacral status and physically assaults a man, the forces of law and order should protect the male.

Then the 'sacral status' has to be extended. It is not fair to apply it just to one side of the population, but both sides of the population need to understand respect in equally high measures.

btw, not saying that males can not be uncontrolled. I went through two relationships with individuals who lacked self control big time, and to live in the shadow of another ridden by mood swings and no effort to control them, is pure hell. It almost killed me, and so I can sympathize with anyone confronted with it, male and female alike.

Women are getting far more laddish and throwing slaps.

you'd think so wouldnt u..

but from what ive been told of peoples parents grandparents n neighbours..there was always a proportion of women who always lashed out and controlled their men.

but its a breakthrough if we can get more abused men to stand up and against it.

That's true. I remember my Grandfather telling stories about some barrel chest wan in his town was often coming down to the pub and batin' her husband at the counter until he'd come home. Or throwing him out on the street and giving him a few slaps.

If someone takes their hand to you, or a friggin knife, then in my opinion that person has absolutely zero respect for you and wants you to feel pain, or perhaps die, that's the moment that everything that i was taught growing up, with regards never ever put your hands on a woman, well, that goes out the door, and i think its exactly that thought/embedded moral of never ever hitting a girl/woman, well that's what these man bashers know of only too well and they seek out those men but make sure that they are also quiet, at the other end of the scale, they then can do whatever they want to him because of all those factors.

mjpd67: yes we know that women can be more or as violent as any man ,but some women dont have control over it as for some men, i was hit first ask questions later in younger days but i learnt the hard way ,in my experience your better of just to try and calm things and as you know tiny the pen is mightier than the sword

But should we not send the message out clearly to women just the same?
I know what you are saying mj, and I know it can be upbringing, and you are grand and smart and learned your control because you are grand - but I feel as long as we don't set clear signs as a society that self control is a MUST for both genders, a lot of females keep thinking their moods and lack of control over those moods is okay.

Like I said, I cringe when I hear women joking about their monthly thing and how moody it gets them. They laugh about them, as if it is worth a joke, but it isn't, it is simply just a lack of control and no willingness to assert such control.

(thank you for me comfort of the day ^____^)

I don't have kids but when i do hear people tell their kids to never hit anyone, especially girls, just like i was taught, well i think that's wrong, i think kids from a young age should be taught the exact same thing, but in telling them this they should also be told that other people hitting them is wrong, including girls, and that they should stand up for themselves in life and if they ever encounter "a bully" then to let rip on them, simple as. Its the only language bullies understand.

tinyfangs: Exactly, that is the point - we can't always have it our way, we can't always live it our way. And when we can't, we need to have the control to not let that turn into anger.

And same time those who live on the receiving end of those who have no control, we need to not be so forgiving. I was always forgiving, forgave the girls at school.. tried find excuses for them, tried find excuses for anyone and everyone, also in those 2 extreme relationships that I ended in, and I still do it.. try understand when someone behaves like a bully, wish to find reasons why I can excuse it.. but I think I am in the wrong with that too, as it allows the bullies and uncontrolled to continue. We need to say no to it, NO excuses, but instead the message of get your act together as we all know anger and frustration, but we don't all act is those nasty ways, so you bullies, whoever you might be, should learn to control yourself too.
your always going to have bullies just part of life ,you see a lot of social media sites showing bullies being taken down but this is condoning it in my opinion, so its all right to hit back attitude 2 wrongs never made a right yet ,bullies have issues anyways maybe getting to the bottom of their issues might be a better approach in life ,bully /victim both human at the end of the day handshake
