recurring dreams apparently have meaning, but I don't know how to find out. I've checked out some books over the years, but they are generally not in harmony on many dream "types". I'd be interested to know if there have been compelling studies, etc...on this.------ This thread is Archived ------
The subconscious mind thinks in the form of symbols and metaphors and that's why you shouldn't be surprised to find such metaphors in your dreams in the form of symbols...

I just did a bit of research, and would be interested in getting feedback as to whether or not other members believe the following to be possible, etc...and, any other thoughts or ideas. There are studies and also, appliances of a sort, to enable one to manage, create, and interact their own dreams-('Lucid Dreaming'). One writer in particular seems to have a bit of a following--Mark McElroy. It interests me intensely, but I also have reservations. I hope it works, because I'd like to design my own dreams of flying, and , well, the imagination is just endless!

Dreams are very much revealing our statement of mind, our emotions, feelings etc... then, sometimes they can tell you what is going to happen, i mean if you have that kinda special 6th sense i was born with... and it's not always a gift !

Last couple of years, seems, I keep dreaming vividly about people and places from the past. Never anything new, crazy or obscene like I used to have in my dreams years ago.

I get really random weird dreams when Im under lots of stress...like now hehe....

dreams are fascinating in my view,i believe that some of our dreams have more purpose than we give them credit for,extremely difficult if not impossible to research with any accuracy though,and obviously each individual interprets these things in theyre own way...on occasion my dreams have placed me in situations which i have encountered in reality,,but have revolved around what may or may not have happened had i made different decisions regarding them....dreams are a very interesting part of our lives,,whether they are meaningless or whether they are some indication to areas of our lives in general...i tend to believe they have meaning in some way...now if i could just work it out that would be great.....
