Ccincy: Hi rohaan,I'm still getting used to my new keyboard and sometimes I tend to leave something out of my replies to others.I was referring to Larry's comments about the city and country living mainly. As far as compromising.
Just a suggestion. Maybe plan a weekend short trip up to Portland. You might be surprised (in a good way). Sometimes you can travel and meet someone that is actually a lot closer than you could imagine. I know that there are always lots of different events going on up here. Maybe leave it a bit open and not too "scheduled" as many times that is when you meet someone in the same situation. Good Luck and a Happy Holidays to you "R".

rohaan: Hi Harley--thanx for the letter. In the last couple of days, I have randomly viewed 100 profiles of varying gender, types, hobbies, etc...some with pics, some without. My conclusion is that it is not about my profile being in any way off-putting. In fact, it measures up nicely comparatively. The drawback is, as a few have said, what I'm looking for. I'll keep trying. Oh, btw, it's not about not having a photo up, either, and even if it were, I would see that as a benefit because if it's going to be based on looks, and he can't seem to wait for me to send a pic, which I will, then two things have occurred--he is either shallow or impatient, or both, and I'm interested in neither. I'll keep it the way it is. Thanks for your kindness, it does not go unnoticed.
How were those profiles working in terms of meeting the needs of those people? Were they producing the kind of contacts and relationships those people were hoping for?

Excellent point, Jac. I don't know....I gotta admit you ask pertinent questions. Thanks.

What would happen if you tried something else with your profile, Ro?
Say you copy and pasted you current profile material somewhere else so it was kept safe to put back any time you wanted and tried some other approaches?
I'm just thinking you could play around with different ideas and see what happens, without losing your original, or any other profile types you come up with.
Does it seem scary in some way to try different things out with your profile?
