Each day I try to do a good deed for someone without them or anyone else becoming aware it was me who did it.... it could be anything... i.e. putting a tenner in an anoymous xmas card for a poor family down the road to leaving a blanket by a vagrants side... try it and you'll feel great. Have a good day!

Hey there, I need to be doing some decorating!

It's window frames and doors I don't like, well it's the gloss paint that I don't care for, the smell and takes forever to dry!

good luck to you...wave devil

Totally agree with the concept of ’Good Deeds’ . Could you lend us a couple of hundred thousand £ s . It is for a good cause . I will spend it on the gang to keep them cheerful over the festive season .. I will think of something else for tomorrow wink

Hi Yami! If I lent you a couple of hundred thousand the concept of the anonymous good deed would be lost.. the idea is to help a person with no wish to recieve credit for your actions - this world could be a fantatic place if people wanted it to be...

I'll lend you a fiver though laugh

dont you find that sometimes people do a good deed due to the fact they need to settle there own consience. does it count when someone is only helping you because they feel bad about themselves and think if i help you it will make everthing ok.

I would have thought doing something like what you have suggested must be done as a selfless act, not to make you feel better about yourself because you have done somthing bad. Or should the recepient of the good deed just be thankfull, even though you know the reason for the good deed, just to help them sleep better at night.

Hi belle wave
I find most people will do a good deed to either make ammends to another, or so they can tell others how great they have been or maybe it's just a simple act of being a people pleaser!

I believe a true good deed is one where you do a good turn unseen and never tell a soul what you have done. This could be even a simple act of going over the road and shutting an old lady's gate that has been left open by the postman or maybe someone you know who never has money for phone credit and yet they have a new lover who you know they would love to call non stop. A fivers credit popped into the letter box would make that persons day!

The true secret to kindness is that you get no rewards or applause, just the pleasure in the knowledge that you have made somebody smile.
