She seems like a nice girl , v both are atheists, love animals n share many similar interests n finally we are meeting dis Saturday at a restaurant fa d first time. So my question is should I give her flowers on our first date ? I asked my friends some say I should buy n some say buying any gifts on d first date will make her think that I am so desperate . So what do you think is a good idea ?

It would be a nice gesture to bring her a small bouquet of flowers. Or a single flower.

Hi jijendiran, I personally like flowers, just on a practical note - if you want to head out after the meal, carrying around flowers might not be practical.
My suggestion would be, if she invites you to her house some day, get her a bunch of flowers then.
If she likes them - you don't need an occasion to buy flowers btw.

No, albeit a romantic and chivalrous gesture, personally, I wouldn't be particularly flattered as you are buying flowers for a woman you don't yet know and that I wouldn't consider personal to me.
I would save the flowers for a second date, if you feel you want to see her again.
