gold71: Do youse believe in global warming???

Only to a limited extent.
I would like to have time to read some more of the literature, but from what I read in the popular science rounds I still see some major flaws in their conclusions. One article said something like "one computer model predicts that cloud cover will increase while another predicts it will decrease."
This does not exactly inspire confidence in those computer models. And from what I have read all the research is based on similar shaky assumptions.

if it gets hotter = more evaporation = more rain = cooling

less universities would = less brain drains = more commonsense

I just believe in what the vast majority of scientists have concluded, but sceptics will try and tell you that the majority of scientist don't agree in G.W, which is total misinformation by red- necked knuckleheads, who'm would have only believed in a flat earth back in the day. In saying that, everyone is entitled to their own opinion I spose!handshake

I do not believe in Global Warming? It's Summer here and I can tell you that it feels more like Winter. The weather is changing yes, but this does not mean it's getting warmer.

I don't think that's how global warming works.

I believe that this changing of weather, which has been a continual cycle, is more to do with the Magnetic Field moving, and of course our land masses.

Tasmania is not as cold as what people think. Yes in the Winter is would be, but like I said, it's Summer. We've already had a few days that reached 26/27 and that was at the start of the Summer.

You mean it was the longest heatwave? From what I recall, the record for the hottest day was back in 2009. Launceston Airport reached 37.9. But anyway, it has been a number of years that Summer doesn't really take effect till late January/February.
So if I came up to Queensland and stayed for the Summer, I would know it's climate? doh

If I were to fill a glass with ice and that ice melted, would that glass overflow? grin

There is anywhere between 5 and 300 metric tons of stardust that falls on our earth everyday, majority of that dust falls in our sea. Over a period of 1000 years it is inevitable for the sea to rise a millimetre or two. wink

Yes there is enough evidence that climate is changing but climate changes all the time . once where Sahara desert is now was a rainforest. Im not convinced humans have made much impact on weather patterns all that much.
