Yep, definately put a few on over the Thanksgiving/Christmas period!
But its the challenge of starting the New Year feeling motivated that counts!

A few lbs over the winter in general as it's rather difficult to walk and bike around in this weather. Come springtime, I can work on getting rid of it.

I started a wheat-free regime at the end of December and I have to say that together with losing a few lbs I feel great! Its quite good fun finding new substitutes for wheat foods too.

Watching what we eat is important and I'm not a big eater to begin with but I find lack of exercise plays a big part in it as well.

I have the same problem as you, Deb - SNOW AND ICE!
Gets me down when I cannot get outside and stretch my legs. I'm not a video workout kind-of-gal..

It's those nasty winter blues but I'm also not into going to a gym or doing the video workouts...kinda boring.

Consider it a blessing that you have what I refer to as hollow legs.
I'm generally the same way as you but finding that hormonal changes tends to concentrate the fat to the midsection.
