You two start chatting as if you two had known each other for years when really its only been about 1 or 2 minutes. You start getting attracted to them, but their looks are not to your liking. Confusing
You said, "You start getting attracted to them," but in the same sentence you say, "But their looks are not to your liking." If you said to this person, NO, because their looks are not to your taste, then to me that's rather shallow. Obviously you would have said YES if they were attractive.
