for my science all knowledge is brought to the practice in the physical plane,
and religion is a spiritual and intellectual phenomenon, is a non-physical state

Don't know what you're trying to say, but put me down for:
Science - 1
Religion - 0

Religion is a state of mind. Science can be backed up with facts usually.

Science for me too .... although science can be as dogmatic as religion at times.
Spirituality, however, is experiential, and even though it can be scientific in the sense of repeatability of personal experimentation, those results are not necessarily transferrable to others ... or even able to be communicated to those without the experience or awareness. Using metaphors and parables just doesn't cut it, but unfortunately language doesn't either. A bit of a conundrum.

Most religions were created by man to control man. Like a rival government occupying the same territory as the existing governing body, vying for control of the power and wealth of the land.

Some religions were created in an attempt to placate man into surrendering (non-violently) to the existing governing body.

Both of these attempt to explain natural phenomina (now explained by science) and thus allay those fears while instilling a deeper fear of the after-life or next-life in order to subjugate.

There might have been examples of a more pure form of religion for more pure purposes, still created by man, but they have been twisted by the greed and desires of man into one of the first two types I listed above.

Science has its advantages and disadvantages as well, but that is a story for another time...

Let's put this one into perspective.

Let's say you have a weak heart or some other serious illness, and are in dire need of help. Would science (which is behind medicine) be better than prayers and good old fashioned faith?

I know which one I'd trust more. It's not religion.
