I heard on the news here this morning that 9 Orca have died after a stranding on a beach near Tuatapere at the bottom of the South island.

NZ had approx. 200 Orca living in its seas

It will take years to build up the numbers again

tomcatwarne: An intelligent animal is separated from it's family, pit into a relatively small aquarium, and made to perform for the amusement of people.



Its abhorrent but not much surprises me when it comes to the gratification of human beings.....anything can be justified.

I haven't checked the link, thank you. It wouldn't be the Danes again, would it? Coz they've proven lately that they're really great with animals, right?!
