I've had a spectacular Sunday - locked myself in the house with the air con on full bore.

Daughter is moving back home doh in about a month so making way for her stuff. 3 bags of books to go to Lifeline for starters and numerous bags for the Salvos. thumbs up

Just getting started. Where the hell does it come from dunno

Due some new fangled diet my daughter is on, couldn't manage Tuesday night dinner as usual. So out to day for a light lunch so she could have a lunchtime small meal.

They were big meals and I spent 3 hours lying out the back reading to let it settle down. Looks like vegemite toast for dinner tonight.

Her idea of the place, and really my idea for a midday meal is something light. We discussed this and skipping Tuesday night for next Saturday lunch at a cafe at Blackrock which does small meals. I could have had Sunday lunch with them when the "aunts" are invited over. "Anyone I don't know?" "Umm, no. Just K, J & G. The usual lesbians aunts."help

Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. Weekend midday meal when Pop was home was usually a large meal sitting infront of the tv watching World Championship Wrestling and sandwiches for the evening meal. When Pop was away, Nana would let me have Condensed Milk sandwiches while she just sipped her sherry and smoked.

Oh jeez a book I'm reading atm is about day-to-day living in Aus from about 1850 onwards, soooo interesting.

Condensed milk was a real luxury back in the day and a huge treat for kids, so sweet and sticky.

My Mum used to love it on bread and butter purple heart

Mum always had a dripping pot in the kitchen. Uncle John would stop by every time he passed (he lived in the next suburb and it was on the home from 99.9% of his jobs) for bread and dripping.
