Was just here looking up different things to boost an immune system. I have a ridiculously low immune system and need to boots it.

SDB posted other night about taking honey, ginger and lemon with hot water to help with a flu which got me thinking.
Anyone else got any home remedy's or boosts

Hi annie, wave first I would get a blood check done to see if you lack anything. dunno

Something simple like low iron levels can bring your immune system down. Making a smoothie each morning with aloe vera and barley grass can really help.

Hope you feel better soon. hug

Important, just put in stuff you like. I put in mango, apples, oranges, kiwi, berries (frozen ones are not too expensive) and you can put in either water or orange juice. If you have that many fruit in, you don't taste the barley grass and aloe vera. You'll get the last 2 ingredients in a health shop, with orange juice only they taste ewwww. You can get aloe vera mixed with manuka honey btw.

Most home remedies for flues and colds don't boost your immune system at all, they merely help fight infections head on. Honey soothes the throat and has antiseptic properties, ginger helps clear the sinuses and lemon helps clean out the liver and has antibacterial and antiviral properties.

I am afraid the best way to maintain a healthy immune system long term is to maintain a healthy or healthier lifestyle, such as diet, exercise, and all those other really tedious boring healthy things to keep the system balanced.

Oh I know and I do try to live a healthier life but when your immune system is lower than normal it's not easy
