Well, some individuals know, who they r, some don't.However,in my opinion,You'r just one the existentional nothingness.Just the same as all of the rest...!

I was reading a story tonight on the train coming home...
and this is the perfect answer
from " There's no place like home " by Garrison Keillor
talking about his boyhood.....
" I spent six years sorting through various personas ( Boy Scholar, Embittered poet, Dangerous Radical, Wry Humorist)and wound up with the one that paid a salary: Friendly Announcer.".

Carmengetme: Just when you think you know the real you, one finds out you don't know them at all.
The first thing you have to know is yourself. A man who knows himself can step outside himself and watch his own reactions like an observer.” ? Adam Smith, The Money Game
for me.. I always self talk ...
If I go somewhere... I always ask myself... what could be the consequence of ....
If I meet someone who I don't really care or like.. I remind myself to be pleasant...
If I like someone... I remind myself to be aloof..
I do this as a habit...
So I know myself enough to have control over what I think..

I tend to keep a lot of myself hidden from the world at times !! Which allows people to make false assumptions of me
I did a training course for my work a fair few years back . One co worker thought I was quite stupid and slow before this course . Suddenly it dawned on her I wasn't a Neanderthal when I was answering questiosns The trainer wasn't happy when I said those who can do those that cant teach

I am not well known on here, I find things very much easier IRL, and can sway things with my personality, which comes across a bit brash on here. You can see thw twinkle in my eye or hear the smile in my chat, ah well
I agree with Merri....not matter how nice you are....there is always someone waiting in the wings,,,,ready to slap you down.....sitting on the fence......seems the thing to do,...thos know.alls can be a pain in the backside sometimes.if they are that clever why are they on here....perhaps the answers they give in their comments....to others..(nasty.sometimes)......are best left unsaid.....if they don't know the real you.....jmo.
