Red is always a "fast" car.
I have 3 cars at the moment. In order I have bought them - for no other reason:
1 Aspen Silver - was looking for a Land Rover manual (had to settle for an auto) Discovery for comfort and to go where I was doing an outback trip.
2 Olive Drab - got talked into getting an ex-military vehicle because I did attend a lot of those days for no other reason than I went to catch up with a lot of interstate mates.
3 White - it was a vehicle that I wanted.
I have had, in order of colour:
green (was white/green originally)
light tan
bamboo (sort of light brown)
torquoise
red (did love that Volvo)
light blue
white
red (damn, back to fast but was a van)
white
light blue
maroun
white
Aspen Silver (yeah, I did find a specific colour for that one)
Olive Drab (but has an oxidation problem and looks grey)
red (okay, company car but was very pacy)
white (I can accept this slower pace).
Insurance companies do look at colour as a very important factor for their insurance liabilty, Red does have a big factor. And for a similar but not as much importance, green. Why??
Because of colour blindness. Those 2 colours do tend to blend into the background more than any others.

Two out of three that insured and registered are white, the 3rd is medium brown, with nearly a million kms on it.
Maybe there's something to it. The others are all parked at the moment, but I think I've had every colour of vehicle expect pink, and as lovely as pink is, it's just not right on a car.
Hi LiLee: Ive had many different colours over the years and cant see the link,my favourite colour is white for two reasons! (1) It stays clean longer and (2)its easier to see. I once red that red cars had the most crashes in our country partly because of poor visibility in bad weather. That may have only been for that particular year.

I always thought Red cars would be easier to see.
Seems you can't see them in the carpark tho judging by the large ding I found in my rear panel that mysteriously appeared recently

haha ,this must have been written by somebody with nothing to do , I made a real choice to by a white car for anonymity as this fella does not look to be seen . Yes I think white is the most popular colour for cars. I disagree that they are the hardest to keep clean. I think black cars show up the road crime and dust the most.
