Thanks FOS,I have to admit I have been here on this site for a bit longer than 2 weeks.(2years)LOL. I sometimes post a little statement as such to see if peeps are actually reading what I post. My attempt at a bit of humor.The post that 2intrigued put up from the Mods, pretty much sums it up.If people do not like the OP or what he has posted and can't address it in a positive manor,then quite simply move onto a different thread that is more to their liking. We are all adults here and opinions and debate does not need to be protrayed in a negative manner.

most people don't come to CS for logical discussion. some are just for quick doses of confirmation bias...

my friend is a jockey, but his horse would,nt jump.....so he threw the horse over his shoulder and did the jump.......said to the horse that's how you do it...the horse, was quite impressed......said to the jockey....you do it better then me....????/...can,t we carry on doing it that way....???????.....just thought I,d mention it......

Opinions and the ability to debate do make for interesting read on the forums. I think that often times people either put too much or not enough thought into their reply's on the various threads. When emotions enter into it then positive interaction is usually lost. It may be human nature to have to have the last say(not always) but when ever I see that on here, it is a thread killer for me. The ban feature certainly has it's time and place to be used on here. If the OP chooses to use it that does not necessarily make the poster a bad person. In all fairness it only means that the Op does not want to see the thread go in the direction that it might be starting to go. More often that not it gets taken too personally. JMO.
Hi Kenn,I joined back in 2010 and know what you are referring to.
I think what kills most threads are all the arguments that continue on the Political and Religious ones.
I have no issue with the Ban Option but I don't see how the Hide option helps.All someone has to do is click on it and read what was posted anyway.
I won't forget when Kaybee50 sponsored the CS Olympics and it went 4 threads without one person getting offended.Those are the kinds of fun threads we need on here.
