Obstinance_Works: The typical words of a autistic white-enclaver. The reason why you don't see much from the faiths of other races is because you have nothing to do with other races(Tasmania is 98%+ White), and the media is almost entirely White bourgeoise(or Atheist Jew). But I can assure you that if you came over to the London or the Mancunian grimefest then you would see ample displays of enriching diversity, factionalism and social tension.
You'd know. Tasmania is no where near 98% white. And I think you'll find also, that we here in Tasmania have a broad range of religions, including Christianity. And just because we are separate to the mainland of Australia, doesn't make us stupid. Actually I take that back. Calling me autistic is more of a praise than an insult. And for your information Obstinance_Works, I may look white, but I have you know that I do have Aboriginal blood running through my veins.
Anymore insults you want to throw at me?

Obstinance_Works: It's a rational and valid point to make that one reason why many white people know nothing about other races and cultures is because they have absolutely nothing to do with them. Eating curry and tourist trips to Morocco and Peru do NOT count, these do not make you a citizen of the world.

and neither do your Brain-Poots!

jac379: Maybe religion is the only thing in life for them.

That's surely their choice?

Agree and I can't see why that would 'sadden' anyone...

It's one thing to complain about peoples' beliefs and topics for discussion on here but another to determine that one of their lifestyle choices is to be almost pitied.

ekself: What I am trying to say is that it is correct that there should be stuff about God on a thread about religion. It is the Christians and to a lesser degree Muslims going on about their religion as if it is the only true religion that upsets some people at times. For some reason people seldom if ever post something about other religions.
I'm sure I said something like that earlier. I'm sure that Christianity isn't even the largest religion worldwide. And in comparison, the others don't go on about it like it is the only thing in their life.

I just saw a blog not 5 minutes ago, and it was a good valid one about Adam and Eve. God created Adam and Eve in his own image. Adam and Eve had two children Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel. Cain left and found a wife. Found a wife? Ooops, something wrong there.
doh laugh laugh

theD0CT0R: Christianity is no more important than any other religion, so why feel the need to advertise God?
Don't get me wrong, I believe in a God, but I also have other beliefs that do not contradict what other men of God do.

It's one thing to promote faith in order to help people.
That's the kind of religion Jesus taught.

It's quite another thing to use religion as an excuse to spread hatred and stir up support for wars or to impose some sort of theocratic domination over people.

The latter has nothing to do with genuine faith. It's just a sort of parasitic evil used to delude people.

jac379: Sometimes perhaps it's more relevant to examine our own reactions, our own thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

I think that's what genuine faith is all about.

What is prayer but a sort of reverie in which we try to insulate our minds from outside influences and even from our own prejudices and selfish motivations, in order to make truly objective decisions?
