Hospitals in the U.K. reported to heat hospitals by burning fetuses!
How did it come to this? Aborted and miscarried fetuses are incinerated and used to heat some hospitals in the U.K., as part of a waste to energy program. What constitutes waste? People do this and yet, think fossil fuels are evil.
Some of the involved potential parents have stated they’ve had no choice in the final disposition of their fetus.
This is what happens when a government takes control of a health care system. The greater good of the whole is more important than the needs of the individual nonsense.
I believe this government action in the U.K. is nothing less than an outrageous, disgusting, disturbing and heinous crime against humanity. This should be stopped now!

Crazy stuff. very crazy.
This is what happens when NUTS governmenttakes control are put in charge of a health care system, or in charge of anything else.
Gee it would be interesting to know just to where/whom she got her information from. But of course they don't usually make a habit of naming their sources anyway.
Weren't "Witches" burned alive at the stake by religious zealots in the middle ages? Didn't the Aztecs cut out the heart of living people (often children) as an offering to some god for a good harvest? Is it ok to cremate a dead person but not ok to cremate a dead fetus?
Maybe the medical waste incinerator was designed long ago to capture the heat of combustion and use it to heat the building instead of just dumping it into the atmosphere. Medical waste is often incinerated as a safety measure to prevent the spread of desease.
I doubt one day some bloke said Gee coal is getting so expensive, why don't we throw a few babies in the furnace.
Incineration is the safest way to dispose of most medical waste. What else should they do with unsafe or contaminated blood products and other human waste? I am not saying that I consider fetuses as waste, but this story is just ridiculous.
Like other's have said, this is not a means for hospitals to either save energy or produce energy, but rather a means to end.
The majority of fetuses incinerated were miscarried babies. A total of 15,500 were burned by 27 NHS trusts in the past two years.
And, there is a difference between cremation and incineration. The women were shocked to learn that their babies would be 'incinerated with the rest of the day's waste'.
I'm not trying to be morbid, or be disrespectful in any way, but a baby at one month is the size of a grain of rice.
If these are spontaneous abortions it is usually natures way of dealing with an abnormality. Even at 2 and 3 months it is almost all placenta, (1 or 2 inches long fetuses.
I believe in the U.S., if you or your family requests the remains, hospital personnel can make arrangements with funeral homes for cremation or burial.

yes, but this is not what was happening in the U.K.
Well…… the processes and goals are different, and:
The goal of the combustion process in a hospital waste incinerator is complete combustion of the organic constituents in the waste feed. Each organon substance has a characteristic minimum ignition temperature that must be attained or exceeded, in the presence of oxygen, for combustion to occur. Above the ignition temperature, heat is generated at a higher rate than it is lost to the surroundings, aha , and the elevated temperatures necessary for sustained combustion are maintained. source:
whereas, cremation is not as complete and does not include waste. The body does not reduce into ‘ashes’ right after incineration. Rather, it reduces into small bone fragments that are later pulverized to get a uniform powdery consistency of the cremated remains. The soft organs and tissues tend to evaporate due to the extreme heat. source:

We've been burning bodies for both ceremony and disposal for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Given all the real tragedies that happen to live people everyday, I don't think those who worship or hold sacred dead bodies are in any position to be calling those of us who don't sick, or twisted.
It's not a baby anymore, it's dead.
It's humanity left with it's life.
Getting angry about how the body is disposed of,
is just an inappropriate expression of anger over the death.
If you don't like babies dying work to help them.
If you don't like miscarriages, help mothers.
If you don't like how people deal with unwanted pregnancies
promote access to and education about birth control.
Anger about dead body disposal is a waste of emotional energy
that could be used to help someone, and is in itself a true tragedy.
