lifeisadream: Fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits,flowers, etc... grown in your very own garden or in containers taste/are just like heaven and at some point you do control what is in them.Do you do any gardening?

I only have a small urban back garden, but I try to grow as much as possible.
Apart from the flowers and bushes, I also grow peas, garlic, beans, potatoes, onions, carrots, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, as well as salad vegetables.
I love the satisfaction of growing my own, as well as the far superior taste

I grew a small garden one year.. I had seen somewhere to use bales of hay... and I did... I got bales set up in rows and I just put small slots in the hay and planted the little starter plants... I had yellow squash and Zuchinni and also Tomato Plants .. Now with those I use seeds. Also green beans.... it was fairly easy and it was fun...

My sister lives in a small apartment complex with a small balcony. She took one of those over the door shoe bags.. it has little pockets in it... anyway she planted herbs in it and hung it to the wall that separated her from the other apartment....
