ooby_dooby: It just shows that not everybody has the same taste in music. I really liked Rod stewart. About 6:30 One morning on our way to the racetrack in Atlanta we stopped into a little redneck diner for some quick breakfast but the place was already crowded and we did want to be late so we decided to skip breakfast and left but before we did I decided to drop a coin in the jukebox and treated them all to Maggie May.
I also liked The Macarana and I love Gangnam Style especially that over the top video. Big fan of the Hollies including Bus Stop. What's not to like? I have to agree with achey breaky heart though, that song was flat out tiresome. Richard Harris was not a singer and he proved it beyond any doubt with Macarthur Park. The song a absolutely can't stand is Billy Don't be a Hero by Bo Donaldson.
"Beep Beep", by the Playmates. ('nuff to drive an insane man crazy...)
for the guy who wanted to pass me, he kept on tooting his horn I'll show him that a Cadillac is not a car to scorn! (beep beep, his horn it went beep beep....)
A beatles song I couldn't stand was "Hey Jude". Every time that came on the radio I would either change the station or shut it off. I have so many favorite Beatles songs that were truly brilliant like "She's Leaving Home" and "While my Guitar Gently Weeps".
pedalguy59: Oohh, this could be a long thread. For some reason, "Celebration", by Kool and the Gang irritates me. Anything by Wayne Newton. More to follow.
Don't know that one. It's not by Wayne Newton is it? Or maybe you mean Ernie on Sesame Street(if so, no I don't like it , prob. ok for very young kids, though)

I loved that as a novelty song when I was much younger- my dad had bought an album of those types of songs- I don't think I would have liked it if the ending hadn't been a surprise- guess that's why I liked it...

Tammy Wynette [Excuse spelling] DIVORCE makes me cringe !! another one of hers was 'STAND BY YOUR MAN' ironically she divorced a few months after... hate Country and Western... in the main. Two little boys.... in the light of what we know now....
jac379: I had the radio on a couple of days ago during a Radio 1 countdown of the most downloaded songs over the last decade.
It was very peculiar, but I got very strong urges to break things savagely with just about every song.
That's quite a reaction(possibly a Hormone surge). It is because you have over the years been experienced to some pretty great Music, and Fluff does not cut it any more.

pedalguy59: I hate it too, they can't carry a note in a Handbag. We all can choose now what to listen to. I still remember when all we had was AM Radio.
Ooh, now you've sparked off a vague memory of only having AM radio. Something to do with a wealthy aunt giving my sister and I a transistor radio each, I think, but I can't really remember.
