I've noticed this quite a bit at times on here...And let me state this is in some cases...People state on their profiles that they are either here just for the forums, or to chat, penpal etc, not looking for a relationship lets say

Then their comments often tell another story, either in a sad sense, how they have not found anyone, or their prince/princess, or stories of
what they look for or what they like, what they don't like, so which is it !?...professor , these things seem kinda contradictory at times to me....

I suppose this is my case. I have been here on CS for 5 years. On my profile I state that I am looking for chat/pen pal. There was a time I used this site to be more active in actually trying to find someone. Realistically after having had some interest shown between myself and a few (not at the same time), I have come to find that distance for me is an issue. So, although I am still waiting for the right one to come along, I'm not seeing this as a place for it. Though, if it happens, it does and won't be closed minded either. As for setting my status the way it is, I did that because a chat/ pen pal is more or less what it would have to be seeming there are no men from my local area.

I suppose I didn't state as to why I still come to CS. I have made friends here over the years and perhaps it is even out of habit that I do come back. Also, I am a single mother of two younger children... so this is a social outlet for me when I have time to myself. cheers

Hmmmm....you're title does make me wonder why there's a capital K on one word.

As I've stated, right from the start, I joined for the forums...although, I have met some wonderful people from here, and some that...well....I might piss on if they were on fire, but then again, maybe not.

Some people just aren't worth the effort, let alone the piss. laugh

Sometimes people are toe-dipping and aren't quite ready for a relationship; sometimes people can't, or won't enter into a relationship for some reason; sometimes people are already in negotiations, or relationships behind the scenes.

It might seem contradictory to you because you don't have all the information about their lives, but maybe whatever their story, it doesn't stop them from making a contribution, or getting something out of answering people's questions about relationships.

They are on their path: it may be rocky; it may be lonely; it may be blissfully sunny with a cool breeze. Most likely it's all three and some. laugh

It's still their path.

I thought you had a dedication when I first red the title, but I can confirm that random capitalisation and non-capitalisation without due care and attention is a genuine, bona fide Skippyism. laugh

I've changed my profile a few times as people aren't getting the message that I only traverse the forumsphere, though many must be scammers (I hardly ever check). Even blocking every single location has done nothing, weird confused I don't believe I've portrayed myself differently here.

I'm not opposed to a long distance relationship. Just need to be up front on the relocating situation real quick. Sometimes that makes things too serious too fast. Then one or the other gets a bit flighty. SIGH

I've just joined up with a local New Zealand dating site.

I would like to find someone, yes, but realistically not on this site.

I am here for the forums, which I enjoy MOST of the time. I can be playful, for sure, but distance is and will always be the issue.

I Kid you not laugh

Even the Romans came up against obstacles from time to time.

Mostly, they ploughed on...but when they got to Wales they kind of threw in the towel. laugh
