I didn't buy it to press and shoot on auto... I bought it to use with manual features..
bought it with the purpose of entering competitions.. and photography groups.. which I have done..
and I have an assignment already... for advertising.. so I am well pleased...
although the auto is just beaut too... but better still, it comes with its own graphic programs, and I have photoshop as well, and I have a cert in multi media.. so I should be all good..

i don't use auto, what i was trying to convey there are traps in the lens department with the 4-3rds cameras. Lens that utilize 4-3rds cameras abilities are limited, example only proper 4-3rds lens can utilize the full focus pixel mapping, whereas others besides as mentioned above and stated in that review, can only use 37% of the cameras focusing pixel mapping ability

Way back many years ago, I bought a camera with the "Auto" button because I didn't have the money to buy the necessary light meter that was needed when you needed to take decent (semi-pro) photos. It worked very well for what I needed.
Years later I bought a new-beaut SLR film camera that did so many things, including auto focus. Played around with it but needed my glasses to read the manual while learning and to what was "in focus" on the view finder.
Now, because of my limited close-up vision (the screen on these "new camers"), I do rely on the "auto-focus."
yep i use AF to, thought merri meant camera on Auto, i now have two MySet settings assigned to the mode dial, amongst other settings one is set with ISO at ISO-800 and the ISO set at ISO-640, both are set with cloudy day set. Have spent since end of December adjusting the camera settings, all the time directed towards been able to turn camera on AF shoot...
The 4-3rds system works quite differently to others, but is quite capable. I've not used a tripod as birds don't often you time to frig around, so the built in camera stabilization is a god's send. Got some quite good photos of a tit this morning. Camera has eye recognition to which helps. Only recently located a page that explained every sections of the cameras extensive menus. A disk explaining all the functions the menu covers in America as US$50 freight Tag the webpage is a really great source of information. NOT FOR VOTING

Hi Wash..
Just to say, I chose this particular camera because I don't have to wear glasses to see what it is that I am shooting.. This little thing has a screen, but also a thingo you look thru.. and you calibrate it for your own eyes, so I use that, and then put my glasses on to see the settings on the screen.. but this is a newy thing.. I don't think Rob's Cannon has this..
If you look up the camera, you can see what I mean.. this thingo also tilts at whatever angle you put it..

robplum: posted on here the week 2013 High-End Mirrorless Camera Comparison Guide The mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras we have decided to compare are:
listed for sale in Adelaide (16 hours to run) a lens that is the same as the one i have, if it goes for the current bid it's be a really good deal new they cost $500, bid is currently $300 Its a "M.ZUIKO ED 75-300mm II" and fits your camera to.
There are other older models M.ZUIKO ED 75-300mm that are not suitable and would require an adapter and then only be part capable. The right one has two "ii" after description. The listed one on following link is the correct one for anyone wanting that sort of lens.
Received this picture via email for inclusion in this thread or other not sure From MZ Cold comfort that I took this photo of the fallen tree holding back several kilometers of ice slabs on the river
