Hello all,
Since I am new here, (1 week), I am a bit confused what the friend requests are all about. I mean, this isn't FB, and I am getting requests from men from our country & other countries, and not sure why there is this option here.
Can anyone fill me in on this option, and if you all accept friends.
Thanks everyone!

I keep it real and same as on FB. If I've never met this person in real life I'm not considering them as a friend.
I find that "friend" option totally hideous and it makes people look really shallow having them in dozens on their profiles but each to their own.
There's even a top 10 for most "friends" laugh

As far as I can the only use for them is that scammers can get past mail settings if you accept them.

I have friends that Ive gotten to know through the Blogs and they mail me and we have things in common. I get alot of freind requests from certain coutries and yes, Glatlol is right, its a way for Scammers to bypass and get 'friendly' so unless youve had a social interaction with the people on the blogs, I'd give them a miss. hope this explains things for you. Enjoy your time on C.S.bouquet Love what ive seen of Maine by the way.

What I find silly is that I'm automatically blocked from contacting people due to age, location, hair colour, or whatever reason. So a friend request is the only way to get in touch with someone, unless they're on the forums.

Sure wish they would bring back the "filter box", it was silly of CS to do away with that option. Just think of how many people have missed out on getting an email from me. laugh

seems a list of people you chat forum blog comment with would be a great place to keep them close to click on....CD friends. as far as 'real friends' no need to have them here since fb is for that lol. just a thought. I'm new here as well and getting used to the joint lol. the scammer alerts' are so in your face, is it really used to keep people on edge -pysops sorta thing, to keep peoples commu ications pegged here so all the data is collected to themselves/CS?, rather than people going off to themselves to email and text for a building bonding process which is normal in life.

Hi Lori, I just ignore the friends requests, don't see the point in it.

I suspect members may choose to accept friend requests as part of showing a member's preferred social environment on their profile, or maybe to show to others their fondness of some members. I don't accept friend requests here, nor anywhere. I don't have any friends listed on Facebook. I treat my profile here as with all other profiles I have, as a personal listing in a phone book. conversing You guessed it: I don't tweet. Don't follow me and I won't follow you.
