Paddy always loves a scammer who can get one over the system be it Michael Lowry, lawyers involved in stealing off their clients down to the underclass fraudulently claiming welfare benefits.

there is totally different 'classes' in life imaging livving on the streets? imo they should have housing even part time housing a group housing scheme. it's 2014 and suffering from no home should be non exsisting

emerald888: Split mortgage is the way forward....capitalize the arrears.....extend the mortgage repayments over a longer period of time. If the persons start working restructure the mortgage again. Has to be way forward for people who are at least trying to hold onto their homes.

It would be cheaper and more beneficial to the country if the Gov. simply wiped everyone's personal debt. Economist will tell you the same thing.

I agree to a point, personal debt re family home but not on second and third properties ...so on. Where would they draw the line.

Honestly, no I can't see it happening. By keeping people in debt the powers that be can simply keep controlling the sheeple..

Yes, I often wonder why the banks and property developers were bailed out and not individuals were not.
