Ill kick this thread off with a small story about my grandmother who in her own time and used to volunteer at my local hospital to sit and comfort the people who might not have much family whilst going through what ever trauma life has chucked at them. For me personaly a true inspiration

Certinly a genuine act of kindness. She sounds like a kind woman. Buying chocolate at a vending machine and leaving enough money in for the next person to buy a treat is a small and simple genuine act of kindness.

Here we go then talk to hand True story this conversing

A couple of weeks ago. I propped my bike up outside my front door whilst I unlocked the door.

I obviously can't have propped it up well enough as it fell over on it's side on the pavement mumbling

Anyway, a youngish bloke came running up to me and picked my bike up for me.

I never did work out if it was my lucky day or if he just thought I looked too old and weak to be able to pick the bike up myself laugh

Let me see...well, there's been quite a few threads on the international forums where thread authors don't mind off topic banter and teasing amongst friends. wink

Hello Helga - wave
Thats a nice story - I think you know dear lady - that I or Red One would have picked your bike up for you had I/we seen you in such a predicament bowing lips

SO - Think of him as being courteous - a rare quality among so many of today's kids who would be more likely to have half inched it and gone for your bag. - laugh wine wine wine uk

Hi again Helga wave
It is so nice to see you again on here. -- Baggy Pants, Saddle bags or Panniers cause unnecessary drag so drop'em, or they'll affect your top speed and Low level Aerobatics, if you are still into the activities.

BUT -- I can't get my head around only seeing you as a ghost, so I want to see your sleek beauty again, which I liken to a Hunter wink and --- If I still *had her* I would try and get you Darn Sarf wiv me Innit, drive you in my BRG Chariot, n take you up in my Sedburgh to 4000 feet over Kent.heart beating heart wings lips

Ok -I am going to blow my own trumpet now.

I work with 'seniors', yesterday I had to do some shopping, post letters, cash a cheque to pay for shopping etc.

She had a list and at the end she said, 'if there is enough left, get 2 oranges, 2 lemons & 2 grapefruit to make my special marmalade'.

Well her list just about took all her cash so I threw the fruit in and paid for it - about $7 and thought I will get it from her next week.

She got so confused when I tried to do the maths with her, I gave up and said we were about square! How could I make her feel indebted to me? dunno

It won't break my bank and made me feel ok for the rest of the day. I am hoping that karma will come back to me. teddybear teddybear
