Like ALL of the modern "Islamic Terrorst" organizations it's the CIA that chose the leaders, organized the group, armed it, created its ideology, etc. The rank and file members are just mercenaries, thankful to have a paying job in a region where the economy has been totally destroyed. Nobody is there for religion. They're there for a paycheck. And it's the taxpayers back in the west who foot the bill. There has to be "terrorists" to justify invasions and occupations. Billions of taxpayer dollars are funneled into the hands of the war-industry moguls. And it's all justified as a "war on terror".
