We had nun for religion and she told us that French kissing was a sin and it could lead to other things,,,,we were only 15 and we asked her what it was,
...she used to go bright red when the priest would call,....,so we did learn something from the nun that she probaly thought of the priest and kissing him.,,,,I loved history,art,English,and elocution because I was the best at it and got the leading roles in plays and readings,,,,afew of the girls would hide in the toilets when the elocution teacher would call and she would wonder why the class was so small,different girls would hide each week,,,.

I'm generalising of course - my physics teacher was in fact a really talented man who struck the balance - but most of my teachers were either weak as a kitten, dead inside, or both. They also taught me how not to deal with boys. Their discipline methods worked poorly on girls, but were near hopeless on the boys and the more working class the boy the even more utterly useless these methods became.

Here is the US they call grade school Elementary and junior high Middle school and High school just high school.

......I loved basket ball,alot of the boarders from the country would play hockey,,,sport teacher was great,...some teachers could easily be wound up but the principle a nun didnt stand for no nonsense,,she was very trendy and modern in her ideals tho she was a great principle,.ah I should have worked harder but I didn't met the ex hubby at 17 ,ha.

In my day they were either passing students on from grade to grade whether they had learned anything or not.Most of the time they just fixed the students grades who were in sports like what I heard they still do.
I know of someone now who said when they were in high school there was a High School teacher who handed out drugs to their students and messed around with the high school girls.
I suppose that person learned about what teachers not to trust.
