I even have property and a rent on one, but I have never gathered the nerve nor ovaries of steal to bring them off the res. WTH! Two dogs hunkered down under my bed (I really wish I had a crate prepared, need more room), and another dog practically on my head over the artillery shells being fired off..... And it's only the 3rd. I my be bald by the end of this week. Oh an did I mention the dog on my head is a pit mix.

I use to have a dog terrified of fireworks and thunderstorms so I feel for you. same here in my area. The fireworks time span each year gets longer and longer. Almost a week before and after now. Then we got the idiots who want to shoot their shotguns off. in city perimeters 
have you tried the thunder jackets for dogs. I have heard good things about them. Happy 4th

Ya know I've thought about that. I think if we had more thunder storms and fireworks I would invest in it. We usually only deal with this maybe twice a year. And extreme thunder storms maybe once a year. Usually I fix a place for them to hide.

Agree with all the comments here, my area has a celebration for every single event, long weekend etc so the organized (lengthy and very loud) fireworks displays go on every couple of months.
Then of course locals need to join in with their own illegal ones days before and after.
