So this weekend I started a project..
I looked at the fish pond, after the winter, and eeek.. full of algae, the fish were looking a bit peaky too...
so off to get a bucket and bail out the water...
A short time later, feeling.. meh
( the water was stinky)
I decided I might fix this problem properly.
. so I decided to fill the pond to overflowing... and of course, I needed to make an over flow outlet or three...
Which involved digging up the pavers around the pond..
So, one paver wide channels x3... lines with really strong clear plastic, ( industrial stuff) and filled them up with river pebbles to make it nice.. and carefully made all the water run into another channel that leads to garden..
That done, and I decided , it would be nice to have plants surrounding the pond... so up came more pavers.. and planted stuff..
That was Sat... Up and outside at 7am Sunday to continue...
then I decided that with the excess pavers, I would extend the path into the garden,
Um, around lunchtime I was tired, and feeling worried as I still had other stuff to do... so now it is a work in progress...
