I know it all comes down to money, that all he is interested in, i know he says different. it's money for him and for Ireland so a win win situation, it should go ahead.

Totally agree, for Ireland finacially and culturally how we present ourselves to the world. To be honest think the whole thing is just a massive publicly stunt and the five shows will go ahead

As michael o'leary says " their is no such thing as bad publicity"
On top of this, the idea of a legal agreement between the residents and the GAA must be called into question. If this agreement existed, why wasn't it put forward at the objection stage of the planning process. I sense more spin here.
Dublin City Council has also confirmed that while the GAA headquarters is permitted to host three concerts per year through the 1993 planning permission granted during its redevelopment, additional concerts must be sought through a public event licence. Is this the agreement Eamonn O Brien is talking about? This is not an legally binding agreement between residents and the GAA. By the way, Anthony Fay, Brian Duff's solicitor just happens to be the Croke Park Streets Committee solicitor also. He says he knew nothing of the supposed "payment" of 15,000 and a suit to his other client, Brian Duff.
If we just go back to the objections part of the planning process. Gardaí have launched a probe due to possible forged signatures on some of the submissions made to the council objecting to the event.
All five Garth Brook concerts cancelled. Four hundred thousand fans disappointed, countless small businesses out of pocket, fifty million lost to the Irish economy.
But, the handful of begrudging whingers, and their supporters in Dublin City Council are happy. Well done, hope you are proud of yourselves.

Its Brooks himself and Aiken who should hang their heads in shame, pure greed is what caused this situation, from them.
The dogs in the street knew that the number of concerts allowed at Croke park are limited, the shouldnt have even applied to do 5.
As for the not being able to choose between his fans, load of nonsense, he has let his fans down bigtime IMO.
