I have 3 true caring got my back the real thing friends. I have many aquintances but that's just what they are. 1 female friend friends for 34 years. 1 male friend 24 years, and last but not least my father. I have lost 2 great friends who passed on when they still had alot of living to do. I have great memories

I can honestly say my only "Friends" are my children, they are adults now and we are very close.. As for other friends, well its my own fault really, I'm too much of a hermit by nature, and don't put myself out there to find any, really not a "tea party" kind of person

In real life
Since childhood 2 friends(yet we do not get to see each other)
30+ y friendship: male best friend and some school friends
20 + y friendship: female and male fri ends(3)
15+ y friendship: female and male friends (6)
etc
Lots of acquaintances
With all of them we do treat each other respectfully yet openly and up front.
Some of my friends are atheists others believe in God.
Some are leftists, others are conservative regarding to politics.
And so on.....
No matter their beliefs I do love them all
