Hi Theresa. The above sounds like: "thread closed" and I just got here and have not had a chance to respond.
I'm an atheist though I was raised a Christian.
One point I think you are trying to make is that atheists have a belief system just like any religious person. I always resisted that explanation as atheism strictly means "not believing in any gods". But I guess, it's a belief system like any religion. We all look for evidence that confirms and fits in with our belief system, while we disregard the rest.
I think I should write a song about that.

I never celebrated Santa Claus because it meant lying to my daughter, nor the Easter bbunny. Jesus wasn't born in December...that was Constantinople's idea to cause confusion.
Not every "Yank" wants our people or our money sent to another country that has no appreciation Miky! And incase you'd like to understand what that bible is saying...I'd suggest you study MORE than the bible just as Jesus instructed. He NEVER. Said to study the bible only.

Oh lovey! I know your loved...I think your as cute as a button!...I wasn't fussing at you either. I was simply making and observation with the information I had
but I still know your a true heart!

I just know a lot about some things just like you do. We must know different things. What's important is we all learn With this being said....I rather loved watching someone come to your defense because she thought I was beating you up. It actually shows how we can misinterpret what the other person is trying to convey through the internet and how it can can be misconstrued when we are trying to say it different than what it comes out!

I do remember a time or two you standing up for me... and I thank you for that!With all this mushy stuff being said...lol...I understand Aussies pretty good! Don't forget! My son in law is an Aussie. I've had to be closed indoors for months at a time with him and I speaking strongly...or directly how ever y'all want to put it just like he does. He's always calling me the old goat...and sometimes he wants to try to get my goat and mock me for being an American. Then the mom comes out in me and I do set my boundaries. Just because I'm an American...just because I'm the new person...doesn't make it right for the others to speak so directly in a belittling way with me though...and expect I must shut my trap. Or that they can say hateful stuff just because they're an Aussie either. I don't feel that way with you...ok!?
And your probably right about Blonde....hey...as girly girl as I can be...I prefer direct speaking friends. I never have to guess at what they are thinking having to walk on eggshells.
