I hae seen in most really smart people I know sometimes their everyday common sense is not as good as someone else's might be. If you could take your pick between all the book smarts or all the common sense smarts which would you take

Well i believe intelligence is not exactly the same with logic...Many people, as you said, have difficulties in what we call common sense. The mind is always very complex...

I would take common sense anyday of the week over intelligence. My dad is very, very intelligent (almost genius) but has NO common sense. He has no clue what life is about and never will. He doesn't even have enough sense to remember his Grandson's name and that has nothing to do with his intelligence...just chooses his step kids and grandkids over his own...where's the common sense in that?? There is none!

Depends on how "Material" you are. I mean if you want the best car on the block you have to earn enough money to pay for it and must be book smart.
If you don't care that you drive a 1976 pinto but you do care about being a good person then common sense is the way to go.
I know people that are so smart they are stupid because they don't own an ounce of common sense but earn a fortune and drive fast cars.

common sense...and some intelligence to boot, lol.
I know some super intelligent folks who couldn't function in life at all.
And, you read of many that couldn't cope and commited suicide...
