Probably why alot of people have not dated those who they e-mail with is: they don't know them well enough yet. Their time span of comfort zone to where one wants to meet the other is different for everybody. Some are in it just for a friendly pen/pal. Some are attracted to the inside of the person but not the outside, which is kind of sad. Some e-mailers are pushy and are not giving the other enough time. Some discover at a later time that they are not on the same page, etc, etc. the list can go on and on.
